Al-Fil

Translation: Pickthall

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ

Hast thou not seen how thy Lord dealt with the owners of the Elephant? 105:1

أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍ

Did He not bring their stratagem to naught, 105:2

وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ

And send against them swarms of flying creatures, 105:3

تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ

Which pelted them with stones of baked clay, 105:4

فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍۭ

And made them like green crops devoured (by cattle)? 105:5
